Donations and Fundraising

Donations

As a small independent charity dealing with a low incidence disability, fundraising is particularly difficult. We don’t charge families for membership of our group as we are very aware of the demands on them these days, so we really need your help and are extremely grateful for any donations.  We would encourage you to make a donation via the charity’s bank. Fundraising

For several years our major annual fundraiser has been entering a team in the London 10k. If you would like to join the CICS team for the 2023 10k it takes place on Sunday 9th July (starting 0900) please contact CICS here. The route of recent runs can be seen here: ASICS London 10K route.

We were pleased to welcome the Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Nancy Baldwin to our fundraising stall at the St Margaret’s Fair

We are so grateful to all of those who took part in the 2022 London 10k run – despite very high temperatures! You helped make it a successful and hopefully an enjoyable occasion – even if only with hindsight (!). We send a special thank you to their many generous sponsors. Here’s a photo of the 2022 team.

You can also go here to make a donation to CICS. Search for CICS in the Find a Charity box.

If you are a runner we would love you to join our team for 2023. Please contact us here.

CICS has signed up to the Ultra Challenge Series which offers individuals participation in various sponsored sports activities that are now live and open for registration. Signing up is easy – go to their website, www.actionchallenge.com, find a challenge that interests you, follow the link to it, choose CICS as your charity from the drop-down list under the ‘Children’ section,

Many people now encourage sponsors to give online rather than collecting cash. If you’re going to do this, please set up a fundraising page here. (Please do NOT use Justgiving – this is too expensive for a small charity like ours to use)

Here are some other ways you can support us using the following links:

Garnier Recycling

The cosmetics brand Garnier has teamed up with the recycling company TerraCycle® to provide a free solution to recycle waste containers from their own – and other – brands. This can also raise money for CICS. For every item of waste packaging sent in you’ll receive points that can be redeemed as cash donations to CICS. Please click on the links to find out how to use this service.

Paypal Giving Fund

We are registered with Paypal Giving Fund so choose CICS Group as your charity when when shopping online or buying/selling at eBay

Recycle 4 charity

Recycle used ink cartridges. Use this link and all proceeds go to CICS.

The Wonderful Organisation was launched in 2016, to address the problem that donations raised in the vast majority of UK fundraising campaigns were not being passed to charities in full. In fact, a sizeable chunk was being lost by charities to fundraising platforms’ administration charges, monthly subscription fees, card processing costs and deductions from Gift Aid. This is a totally fee-free alternative.
