As a small independent charity dealing with a low incidence disability, fundraising is particularly difficult. We don’t charge families for membership of our group as we are very aware of the demands on them these days, so we really need your help and are extremely grateful for any donations.

  • For several years a major fundraiser has been the CICS team taking part in the London 10K run. Sadly CICS has now been informed that the 2020 run, which was to be held on 5th July, has been cancelled because of the Coronavirus pandemic that is affecting so much of our lives. No alternative date is mentioned, but the run’s sponsors, Virgin, have said they will keep us informed by the end of May.

If you’d like to help us as a runner we would love you to join our team for the next run which we suspect will now be in 2021. Please contact us here. The route of the 2019 run can be found at the British London 10k Run.

    • Fundraising – We were pleased to welcome the Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Nancy Baldwin to our fundraising stall at the St Margaret’s Fair in July 2019
Thank you to all of those who took part in the 2019 London 10k run on Sunday 21st July and helped to make it a successful and hopefully an enjoyable occasion – even if only with hindsight! The photo shows most of the CICS team of runners. A special thank you to the many generous sponsors.

You can also go here to make a donation to CICS. Search for CICS in the Find a Charity box.

If you are a runner we would love you to join our team for 2020. Please contact us here.

If you don’t want to come to London but would like to raise money, for 2020 CICS has signed up with Ultra Challenges to give a variety of events through which individuals can raise money for CICS. They have 12 events organised for the year, which you can walk, jog or run!

Please click here to go to the Ultra Challenges website or click on the pictures below to see details of each challenge, and register to take part.

Many people now encourage sponsors to give online rather than collecting cash. If you’re going to do this, please set up a fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving. (Please do NOT use Justgiving – this is too expensive for a small charity like ours to use)

Please note that because of the Coronavirus Oubreak the Easter Challenge has been cancelled and the Isle of Wight and Jurassic Coast challenges have, for the time being, been postponed

CICS will update our website with any further postponemnts / cancellations as notified by Action Challenge
